Saturn, Jupiter will align for ‘Christmas Star’ this month

Bob was very excited about my Christmas present... he doesn't usually get one until mid-December (or the day before Christmas ) but he told me he saw this ad and couldn't resist...

A few days later, a giant box came from Kohl's. I was puzzled. What could get BOB so excited from KOHL'S? I spent the day circling the box, wondering what it could be.

It took Bob five minutes to talk me into opening my present... I couldn't believe it! It is a TELESCOPE! A very big telescope! wide eyed

I did warn him that my Dad got me a telescope when I was a child, but I wasn't able to see any more in the night sky than I could just looking out into the vast darkness (I could count 12-20 stars back then). Even so, I have always wanted a bigger telescope (but never, ever dreamed that I'd get one!). Bob has assured me that I should be able to see more with this one, but I should rest assured that even if I can't see more that he's still happy to make an unexpressed dream come true! big heart

The last two nights have been cloudy... we'll see if the weekend will be clear to check it out. smile

Am I alone here or are there others that find themselves saying grace multiple times in a meal when eating alone? Me, I'll ask for blessing over my sandwich. Then, decide I want chips. Go get the chips and say prayer when I sit down with them. If I choose to have a dessert it will happen again. When I open my eyes an realize what I've done, I'm left thinking: Diana, you have a really short memory! or, maybe, I'm just REALLY thankful to have food! wink

'Very inconsistent': 2 allergic reactions in the UK to COVID-19 vaccine puzzle researchers

This "very inconsistent" response to this vaccine that avoided the common allergens does not surprise me. After all, most "absolutely safe" vaccines have a very inconsistent allergic response in sensitive people that have been dismissed for decades. Yet, the big push for mandatory vaccination continues. Maybe, just maybe, since we're dealing with adults and not defenseless children that are "just over reacting - there is nothing wrong" about a shot they'll be able to find a connection this time...

In the mean time, here is a recommendation:

"In response, British regulators advised those with severe allergies to avoid the vaccine."

"Slaoui said he assumes that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration committee meeting Thursday will discuss this issue and will suggest that people with severe allergies "should not take the vaccine until we know exactly what happened.""

I have read another article that said that doctors want the CDC to let the public know that there are adverse side effects to the vaccine, but it is important to get the booster shot any way. When you get the shot, you can expect muscle pain, head ache, fever, trouble breathing... all the symptoms of being sick with covid (but, don't worry... "vaccines don't make you sick"wink. After all, you are introducing foreign substances - including genetically modifying ones (there's a reason most GM foods were taken off the market for human consumption) - into your body that cause this violent reaction from your immune system. This is normal and to be expected.

I knocked over my open box of dryer sheets, but I did not notice that half the sheets went into the washing machine... I must have pulled 40 sheets out of the wash tongue out My clothes should just bounce out of the dryer now, shouldn't they? wink

Bob came home, smiled, and said: I like it! love

Coronavirus vaccine: Pfizer given protection from legal action by UK government

I guess enough infertility cases have been brought up over at least one other common vaccination that the lawyers of the company have taken advance precautions about getting sued when no one has any idea if infertility might be a side effect showing up down the road...

"Pfizer can’t be sued for damages According to the U.K.’s Independent newspaper, Pfizer, the owner of the COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine BNT162b2 has been given indemnity in the United Kingdom, which means that people who suffer damage from the vaccine will not be able to sue the company."

Pfizer COVID jab warning: No breastfeeding, avoid pregnancy for 2 months, unknown fertility impacts

You can’t sue Pfizer or Moderna if you have severe Covid vaccine side effects. The government likely won’t compensate you for damages either

"You also can’t sue the Food and Drug Administration for authorizing a vaccine for emergency use, nor can you hold your employer accountable if they mandate inoculation as a condition of employment."

However, we are assured that this vaccine, like every single other vaccine that the FDA approves and is pushed as mandatory for "public safety", is completely safe... except for those few unfortunates that have strange allergic reactions... like death.

Many people I know are hesitant about this new vaccine and would be angry if their freedom was removed and they were forced to take it. However, let's not forget that religious and personal exemptions have been stripped in many states "for public safety" regarding other vaccines because of isolated outbreaks of illnesses. How long will it remain a choice? Maybe some should reconsider their stand on mandatory vaccinations.

I have too many projects vying for attention tongue out

Bob and I went star gazing tonight love

Jupiter and Saturn were already moving apart once it was dark enough to see. You could see three of Jupiter's moons through the telescope, though the camera didn't pick them up. smile

I found Mars and three other stars without any help while Bob was taking pictures. It has been a magnificent night! growing heart

I love crystals and have been trying to find a use for them (other than hiding in a box in the closet). Leaving small ones out on surfaces is not an option as the cats love to play with them tongue out

Since I have tons of embroidery thread, I've decided to learn how to make my own jewelry. I've never been big on wearing jewelry, but it makes it easy to hang around the house. wink

I'm not real thrilled with my first attempts, but I can see potential smile

Merry Christmas to all - may your day be full of peace and love! love aquantaince coward positive loss energy

We had a rather serious blizzard a few days ago... there was zero visibility even in town (a first for us in five winters here). The wind was brutal (up to 60mph) even before the snow started and I asked Bob to take me out to the horses before the snow hit. While we were there, we witnessed the barn roof raising several inches in the middle. The truss was completely detached on one side and the ones on either side of it were trying to pull loose. The horses refused to come inside with the noise, preferring the wind. (we fed them extra and they did have another wind break, so they were fine) I let the barn manager know and he did a great temporary patch job! Bob said it would be what he would do under the circumstances smile
