After I finished sorting and organizing my digital library, I decided to work on my websites (as well as two for other people). I want an easier method of keeping my blog updated and keeping things organized. I haven't finished yet, but as I was working toward this goal, I remembered that I have other goals in place - one is to be staying social and the other is to be exercising. I have been slipping... I have not done either these past two months! tongue out

It is super easy for me to get caught up in what I am doing and get off balance. I was reminded of the quote: Consistency is the key to Success. Maybe it could also be said that Balance is the Foundation to Success. I need work on this being consistent, while not losing focus on the big picture, and keeping my balance in order to achieve my goals and maintain what I've already accomplished!

Bob took yesterday off work with the aim to go flying as it was supposed to be a calm day. I had wanted to go too but ended up with a migraine, so he co-ordinated with other people to go with him.

He got to the airport and went through the pre-flight check. He reached for the ignition switch and the plane jolted a little to the side, then shuddered over in the opposite direction. He looked around at the trees and wind sock and discovered that Mother Nature must not have gotten the memo that the wind speed was scheduled to be well under 10mph. Disappointed, he canceled the flight.

Frustrating as it was, it is better to learn that the wind is picking up while still on the ground than after getting in the air!

We will try again soon...

Bob and I went flying growing heart

It has been over a year for me, yet this is the first flight that I didn't need essentials oils or CBD to calm my nerves. cool

We also did a "touch-and-go" at a second small airport, so I managed TWO take offs and landings without much anxiety. celebration

We flew over Lake Wilson.

My thought was: there sure isn't much ice for February! Then, we heard on the radio on the way home that only 2% of Lake Superior is covered in ice when a typical year has it with a 40% coverage - a record low in 50 years. shock

You can read about the historic low here: Historic low Superior and Great Lakes ice cover

I can hardly believe it is the end of February! I wanted to have so much more from this year's personal goals list accomplished by now! But, hey, at least this tortoise is still moving forward. wink
