At Healing Horse Touch, we believe in making equine experiences accessible to everyone—without financial barriers. We don’t charge for sharing our love of horses, but we deeply appreciate any support (donations, volunteering, etc.) that helps us grow and offer even more healing opportunities.
There are many ways you can help, whether through financial gifts, sponsorships, donations of materials, or simply spreading the word. Every small action makes a big difference! For instance, liking and sharing our social media posts gives us encouragement and allows us to be known as a legit organization.
Financial Summary: How Donations are Used
Our cost structure is simple, purposeful, and focused on sustainability and service. Our largest ongoing expense is caring for our horses, who are the heart of our programs. This includes feed, farrier visits, veterinary care, supplements, and shelter maintenance—essentials that ensure our equine partners remain healthy and able to support our community.
Because we operate out of our home, we don’t carry overhead costs like rent or utilities. We also benefit from some in-kind support: our website hosting is fully covered, and our design software was provided through in-kind contributions.
Our main promotional expenses include local newspaper advertising and targeted Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads, which help us reach those who need us most. Program supplies—such as grooming tools, mindfulness materials, journals, art supplies, and self-care kits—are also part of our operating costs.
We work hard to keep our services affordable and offer donation-based sessions. Donations are crucial to helping us bridge the gap and make equine-assisted healing accessible to all. Every dollar we receive supports our mission to help others Discover Healing, Connection, and Renewal through Horses.
Donations Goal for 2025
At Healing Horse Touch, we believe in the profound power of horses to help us discover healing, connection, and renewal. To keep this mission thriving and accessible to all, we rely on the support of our incredible community.
Our current funding goal is to raise $3,500 to ensure that our beloved horses and animal partners are well-fed and cared for throughout the year. Your donations directly support their nourishment, well-being, and the gentle presence they share with everyone who visits.
Additionally, to maintain our charity status, we’re required to receive at least 30% of our funding from outside sources like donations, memberships, and sales. These outside contributions not only keep our doors open—they’re vital for us to grow and expand the impact of equine-assisted experiences for all who seek healing and transformation.
We’re also setting our sights on a bigger dream: to become a Guardian Level Member of the EQUUS Foundation Equine Welfare Network in the future. This step forward means meeting a projected budget of $10,000, which will not only maintain our current programs but help us reach more hearts and hooves with the healing, connection, and renewal horses bring.

Volunteer Opportunities
Love horses? Want to make a difference? We need volunteers! No prior horse experience is required—just a willingness to learn and a heart for helping.
Here are some ways you can volunteer:
- Barn Helpers – Assist with feeding, mucking stalls, and grooming
- Horse Companions – Spend time with our horses to help with socialization
- Session Aides – Offer encouragement and assistance to participants as they interact with the horses
- Social Media & Admin Support – Help with fundraising, marketing, and outreach
- Beautification & Maintenance – Remove fallen tree limbs, plant flowers, and assist with plenty of weeding to keep the space looking its best!
